It’s that time of the year when the clocks have just gone back, its freezing cold and its always dark! That means evening running in the dusk, or not running at all.

When running on darker evenings we need to put more thought into our kit to stay safe – everything must be reflective & bright!

Whilst wearing a reflective jacket might sound like your only option, its not going to do much tied around your waist when you’re too hot and have to take it off is it?

So, how can you be safe & seen?

  • You could carry a light, but you’d much rather have both hands free if you're running on slippery roads.
  • You could brave it in the dark, but that isn’t the safest choice you could make.
  • You could run with the reflective fluro running bum bag just like runner Charlotte.

The Fleetfoot3 Max has reflective panels around the straps, giving 360° visibility. It’s also got a reflective panel at the back of the bag – for maximum safety when running near traffic. It also comes in fluro yellow for extra stand out security!

You'll definitely be seen when doing your stretches at the side of the road - like Charlotte!

Another way to stay safe is to make sure you've got your mobile phone with you - just in case you do get into any trouble. & the Fleetfoot3 Max has a little pouch that is great to carry a mobile!

And if you do run with a jacket, you can easily tuck into the back of the bag if you get too hot.

We often get asked what the difference is between the lovely Goddess II & III. Here’s a summary of the differences - so you can make the right choice for you!

First I'll start with the similarities, both bags:

  • Have a 35 litres/9.25 US gallons capacity. Just the right size to fit gym lockers and most airlines carry one allowances.
  • Feature a shoe compartment
  • Have 5 tuck away pockets inside for your 'smalls'
  • Come with taffeta laundry and shoe bag
  • Have a large document pocket in the top of the bag - that easily fits an iPad or small laptop!
  • Include the signature Workplay gym locker coin pocket
  • Feature the water bottle pouch
  • Include the 'gym buddy': the ultimate toiletries bag that can hang in gym showers or use as your small bag while using the gym.
  • Include a large wet pocket, to keep damp and dry clothes separate.

The main difference are the colours. Also, the Goddess III is made from a sheen-finish fabric and is lighter-weight. We've also added some handy key features such as:

  • Rubber coated base to keep the bag clean and damp proof on wet floors.
  • D-ring inside the bag to carry your keys or a locker padlock
  • Dedicated jewellery pocket with a zip
  • Key clip in the outside pocket for easy access to your keys or membership pass
  • A water bottle tensioner to stop your bottle falling out of the bag
  • Reinforced piping to stop wear and tear on the corners

Hopefully this has helped you choose which Goddess is for you!

We've also made a YouTube video if you want to SEE the differences.

Last week, I was welcomed to the Workplay bags team as marketing assistant! I was set the challenge of going for a run over the weekend (eek!) with the iconic organised ladies running bag - the Fleetfoot3max ! Obviously, being a girly girl, the look of the bag is important to me and thats why I chose the berry colour. Here is my review of using the running bag.

The weather was not great over the weekend which meant I had to take a jacket out with me. Usually this means tying it around my waist and having to adjust it as it slips down my legs! However, with the Fleetfoot3max I was able to tuck the jacket into the back of the bag, I even forgot it was there! (Until it started raining!).

I usually struggle to find a place to carry all the necessities when I go on a run: phone, keys, water bottle, earphones and sometimes snacks. I've used bags before but I'm put off by running to the sound of my keys! The Fleetfoot3max surprised me with the noise-muffling pocket - so I was able to run to my own music, rather than my keys clunking! I was delighted that I could fit my iPhone 6s perfectly into the bag. The handy headphone port stopped my cables tangling, as well as being able to fully close the zip on the bag, making my phone secure.

Overall, the Fleetfoot3max made my workout more enjoyable as I didn't have to worry about losing anything and literally everything has been thought of!

I am now helping to manage the social media for workplay and I'd love to hear your thoughts about your workplay bag - as I've got so much to learn! I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
